2. Information we collect

Depending on how you use Fameally, we may collect the following categories of information:

  • Account information: such as your name, email address, authentication identifiers, and profile information if you create an account.
  • User content: such as meals, methods/recipes, meal plans, shopping lists, library items, settings, and other content you create in the App.
  • Subscription and purchase information: subscription status, product identifiers, entitlement status, and transaction metadata received from our subscription provider. We do not receive or store your full card details.
  • Device and technical information: app version, device model, operating system, crash diagnostics, and similar technical data.
  • Usage information: information about how features are used, where enabled, to help us improve the App.

3. How we collect information

  • Directly from you when you create an account, add content, purchase a subscription, or contact us.
  • Automatically through the App and the services we use to operate it, such as authentication, data syncing, crash reporting, analytics, and subscription infrastructure.

4. How we use information

We use information to:

  • provide, maintain, and improve Fameally;
  • sync your data across devices, where applicable;
  • authenticate users and keep accounts secure;
  • process and manage subscriptions and entitlements;
  • respond to support requests and troubleshoot issues;
  • monitor performance, fix bugs, and prevent abuse; and

5. Legal bases for processing (UK GDPR / GDPR where applicable)

Where applicable, we process personal data on one or more of the following legal bases:

  • Contract: to provide the App and its features to you.
  • Legitimate interests: to improve, secure, and operate the App responsibly.
  • Consent: where consent is required, for example for optional analytics or marketing features, if you implement them.
  • Legal obligation: where we need to comply with applicable law.

6. Sharing of information

We do not sell your personal data. We may share limited information with service providers that help us run the App, subject to appropriate contractual and security protections. Depending on your implementation, these providers may include:

  • Firebase / Google Cloud for authentication, database, storage, analytics, and crash reporting.
  • RevenueCat for subscription management and entitlement handling.
  • Apple App Store / Google Play for in-app purchases and subscription processing.

We may also disclose information where required by law, to enforce our rights, or to protect users and the public.

7. Data retention

We keep personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including to provide the App, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymise your personal data within a reasonable period, unless we are legally required or permitted to retain certain information for security, fraud prevention, tax, accounting, or regulatory reasons.

8. Account deletion

If you have an account, you can request deletion through the Fameally app and through the public account deletion page linked on this site. Deletion will remove your account and associated personal data unless retention is required by law or for legitimate operational reasons such as fraud prevention or security logging.

9. International data transfers

Your information may be processed in countries outside your own. Where required, we take steps to ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for international data transfers.

10. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organisational measures to protect information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Children's privacy

Fameally is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us at edwardjamesnickless@outlook.com so we can investigate and delete it where appropriate.

12. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or port your personal data, and to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. To exercise your rights, contact us at edwardjamesnickless@outlook.com.

13. Third-party services

The App may rely on third-party services whose privacy practices are governed by their own policies. You should review the privacy information for any third-party services integrated into the App.
